The suffering of Nature by ElephantWendigo The suffering of Nature by ElephantWendigo
is the suffering of the 'little people'.

For those who can guess the meaning of the red cross...

This book has inspired me lots while creating this: [link]
'Faeries' by Brian Froud and Alan Lee (Alan Lee is one of my idols since I was young)

Took me about 2/3 hours. Paint tool SAI + Photoshop

I fucking LOVE that movie--the message, and the pond/lake scene, and....Hexxus. Hexxus was awful, but he was a fantastic villain. I loved his song X3 They managed to make the grime look *so* grimy in Ferngully ^^;

This is lovely. The red is so forced and artificial, but that's good--even though it's kind of shoved into a corner, it takes over the rest of the picture. It makes you notice how beautiful and delicate everything else is by being the opposite of it....and then, because you know what it means, it makes the situation so much worse. It's wonderfully done ^^

Reminds me of the Disney movie Thumbellina :D I only saw it once a LONG time ago, but if I remember correctly, it had a lot of similarities to this. :)

Well done!

Amazing how an animated movie from so long ago still holds a message that rings true still. :) Very well done with the composition and colouring. I've been a huge fan of both Brian Froud and Alan Lee for a very long time too. Well done!
