His real name is Till, but 'Tier' is just a derogatory nickname some guards gave him, since he lived for 18 years in imprisonment.

How gorgeous! Just curious...is that the German word 'Tier'? If it is (or even if it's not), I like thinking that it could apply to either the creature's skull, or the male. I really like that. A lot. Oh, and congratulations on the DD.
